Course Placement Changes
-
Course placement changes involve changes between course levels such as standard, honors, and AP. Students eligible for a course placement change have struggled in the course despite receiving additional support in the classroom and the Academic Resource Center (ARC). Prior to requesting a course placement change, it is expected that the student and parent/guardian have established frequent communication with the teacher to address concerns regarding the student’s progress. In some cases, class size may prohibit a change. Changing a course placement may necessitate a change in textbooks and may result in moving other classes to accommodate the change.
